Lake Saint Ana, Bear Observatory

Lake Saint Ana is one of the most attractive natural attractions in the Szeklerland. The lake was formed at the bottom of the only intact volcanic crater in Eastern Central Europe, in one of the two twin craters of the Ciomatu Mountains, the last, southernmost block of the volcanic chain of the Harghita Mountains.
The bear observatory operates year-round and usually starts 3 hours before dusk. The main season is from June 15 to September 1.
